The Scottish Transport Applications and Research (STAR) Conference is the leading event disseminating and debating innovation in Scottish Transport
The aims of the STAR are, “to encourage researchers and practitioners with an interest in Scottish transport to present and debate recent transport research and applications.”
The next STAR conference will be on 12th May 2027. A call for papers will be issued in the autumn of 2026.
The papers and presentations from previous conferences are published openly to encourage the widest possible sharing of good practice and papers can be viewed here for the conferences held from 2005 to 2022. These provide a unique resource on the evidence base supporting Scottish transport delivery.
